Michael Tutty, PhD, MHA, FACMPE, is the Group Vice President leading the strategic focus area of Professional Satisfaction and Practice Sustainability at the American Medical Association (AMA). Michael manages AMA’s efforts to identify, support, and grow the care delivery and payment models that promote long-term sustainability and satisfaction with medical practice. Before joining the AMA, Michael had several roles at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS), most recently serving as the Director of the Office of Health Policy and Technology. Previously, Michael worked at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in their healthcare practice. Michael maintains an assistant professor faculty appointment in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMMS. Michael is an advisory board member at MATTER and a board member at Northwest Community Healthcare. He is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE). Michael earned his BA in Government from Western New England College, MHA from Clark University, and PhD in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
