Since the pandemic, the healthcare environment has changed dramatically. It is now more volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous than ever before. Medical practice leaders are challenged to develop new skills to lead their teams toward high performance. Leaders are also learning that they are no longer developing fast enough or in the right ways to match new environments, such as the new hybrid workforce. Leading in this environment requires different leadership abilities and new approaches that challenge their conventional assumptions about leading and organizing. New team approaches need to nurture providers’ and employees' awareness and develop and engage them in projects related to everyday work involving action and reflection. Increasing awareness of other world views is critical to understanding the diverse culture and workforce. This presentation will share new leadership tools and approaches that can be used in working with teams more effectively in achieving outstanding outcomes. The session will poll the audience and explore the Serving Leader framework that acts as a lens to help leaders and team members see how to best use models, tools and techniques to help each other produce great results. With this new lens, we will be able to think differently about the potential and power of our people, feel differently about the importance of building unity of purpose, and act/do what is necessary to achieve great results that are best for all involved.
