Juan Carlos "JC" Alejaldre, MPH, MBA is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health where he teaches courses on leadership and professional communications.
JC has been an Administrator at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Irving Medical Center since 2017, where he oversees central operations within the Division of Community and Population Health and the day-to-day management and strategy of specialty practices in Washington Heights, a predominately Latinx and immigrant community in Northern Manhattan. In this capacity, he is on the frontline tackling issues around health equity, applying his professional and educational experiences combined with his passion for community health. He has also been a key leader in planning and executing the Hospital's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that community health is a top priority.
JC is a Doctoral candidate in Community Health and Health Policy and holds both a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health degree.
