Mr. Hayes has spent over 12 years in the healthcare consulting industry with a focus on employed physician group operations. He is an expert in applying data analytics to drive decision making for executive leaders.
Mr. Hayes has conducted assessments and implementation engagements for over 40 clients across 25 states. His focus has been optimizing physician practice operations through leadership governance structures, care team transformation deployment models, enhanced ambulatory scheduling technology, patient navigation through continuum of care, and call center operations. Mr. Hayes’ expertise in the physician enterprise starts with executing the fundamentals of operating an ambulatory clinic through tracking daily scheduling metrics, deploying staff functions at top of training, developing scheduling policies and procedures, and implementing standardized performance expectations across the physician network. He works side-by-side with medical group operators and physician leaders to tailor management action plans that drive immediate financial results through increased volume. His client experience spans privately owned physician groups, community health networks, and academic medical centers. His clients have included MD Anderson Cancer Center, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Trinity Health’s MercyOne Iowa Ministry, Children’s National Medical Center, Catholic Medical Center, Cone Health, Parkview Health, Southcoast Physician Group, and University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group.
Prior to joining the Chartis Group, Mr. Hayes was a Senior Consultant for FTI Consulting in the Health Solutions Operational Excellence segment where he was a team member on multiple Physician Enterprise performance improvement assessment and implementation engagements. Mr. Hayes also worked as a Consultant and Analyst for the Healthcare Strategy Group where he facilitated hospital strategic planning, drafted fair market value letters for physician compensation deals, and conducted performance improvement assessments.
Mr. Hayes received his Master’s in Business Administration from University of Kentucky and his Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Centre College.
